  1. I like your direct approach. Am wondering if I may do something like it with my children’s book? I find it hard to ask people to buy my book when that is what I really want. I wish you every success!

    1. Thank you!

Of *course* you can be direct, and you should be. Self-publishing means you’re just as much “sales person” as “writer.” Genre doesn’t matter, there is nothing wrong with standing behind your work and asking people to buy it.

Good luck with your own endeavors!

  2. Found my way here via Lauren Sapala and the interview you gave with her.
I’m a huge fan of Lovecraft and when I read the short synopsis of the story… well… it’s already on my Kindle.
    I’ll be reading it tonight.

      1. A first!
You know this is the first ebook I’ve purchased. The wife uses the Kindle; I stick to my paper versions.
However, times are a changing so I thought I’d give your book a try.
I’ll have to check out your blog in the next few days; you know how it is… work, family, garden, oh and perhaps time for writing.
I’ve just found the wife’s Kindle, but it needs charging up. Ahhhhhhh! Typical.
But, I’m really looking forward to reading it.

p.s. has Lauren published anything yet? I’d love to read what she’s written. We sometimes mail together so she knows me. If it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t be writing to you.

  3. I am working my way through American Gods now, so I am eager to give this a try. The only downside I have found with blogging and Twitter is my bank account hates the amount of books I’ve been buying!
